(Russian troops prepare to board a plane to infected region of Northern Russia)

By Mac Slavo –

The Russian military has reportedly sent biological warfare teams to the Russian arctic in northern Siberia after at least 40 people and 1,200 reindeer died as the result of a violent and rapid spread of what is believed to be Bacillus Anthracis, more commonly known as Anthrax.

Russian officials said the infection may have started after a contaminated corpse was exposed following a warm summer in the Arctic which saw temperatures rise as high as 95 degrees Fahrenheit.

There were dramatic scenes as the Russian army’s Chemical, Radioactive and Biological Protection Corps, equipped with masks and bio-warfare protective clothing, flew to to regional capital Salekhard on a military Il-76 aircraft to deal with the emergency.

They were deployed by Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu to carry laboratory tests on the ground, detect and eliminate the focal point of the infection, and to dispose safely of dead animals.

“As of now, there is no single diagnosis of the dangerous infection,” said a spokesman for the governor of Yamalo-Nenets, Dmitry Kobylkin.

Officials  noted that they are not certain Anthrax is the sole cause and another biological agent may be to blame. Because of the remote location of the outbreak the situation has been, for the most part, contained according to Russian officials.

The claim that the Anthrax infection originated in nature sounds legitimate enough, but one can never discount the possibility of the involvement of state-sponsored or rogue assets, as has been noted in a recent release of U.S. government documents which expose widespread human experimentation programs utilizing chemical, biological and radiological weapons:

“…we have identified hundreds of radiological, chemical, and biological tests and experiments in which hundreds of thousands of people were used as test subjects. These tests and experiments often involved hazardous substances such as radiation, blister and nerve agents, biological agents, and lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD). In some cases, basic safeguards to protect people were either not in place or not followed. For example, some tests and experiments were conducted in secret; others involved the use of people without their knowledge or consent or their full knowledge of the risks involved.”

The Russian Arctic emergency highlights the importance of protective CBRN equipment that can be deployed quickly in the event of a rapidly spreading biological infection, chemical gas, or radiological threat.

These days we are all well aware that nuclear technology provides plenty of ways to disrupt our society. There are of course, an abundance of nuclear missiles in the world today, as well suitcase nukes and dirty bombs. There is also the ever looming possibility of a meltdown occurring in a nuclear power plant. However, there is one nuclear threat that very few people are aware of, and we have the Russians to thank for it.

In short, they have a bona fide doomsday machine. No, this isn’t science fiction. At first glance it probably doesn’t sound very exotic, since this machine delivers ordinary nuclear weapons. What’s so unique about it, is the conditions that could cause it to activate. The Russians refer to it as the “Dead Hand,” and it operates similarly to the fictional doomsday device from Dr. Strangelove.

Developed in the 1980’s, the Dead Hand is a system designed to ensure that no matter what happens during a nuclear attack, the Soviets would always be able to strike back. They feared that the United States would be able to decapitate their leadership with a preemptive nuclear strike, so they built an automated nuclear command system that requires very little human input.

The Dead Hand is a computer system that is connected to a network of seismic, radiological, and air pressure sensors distributed throughout the country, as well as the government’s communication infrastructure. If the Dead Hand detects a nuclear blast on Russian soil, then it will check to see if communications are still open with the upper echelons of the Russian government. If that connection is ever severed, (say by a nuclear attack against the Kremlin) the computer will initiate the launch of every remaining nuclear missile in Russia’s arsenal.

What’s so scary about this system, is that it has little human input. In any nuclear arsenal, there are typically multiple layers of politicians and military officials that a launch order has to pass through. If the Dead Hand however, decides that it’s time to launch a nuclear assault against the US, then that authority is passed to a handful of midranking officers hunkered down in a bunker. It’s widely believed that this system is still in operation to this day, and believe it or not, many of our government’s leaders are unaware of its existence.

The technical name was Perimeter, but some called it Mertvaya Ruka, or Dead Hand. It was built 25 years ago and remained a closely guarded secret. With the demise of the USSR, word of the system did leak out, but few people seemed to notice. In fact, though Yarynich and a former Minuteman launch officer named Bruce Blair have been writing about Perimeter since 1993 in numerous books and newspaper articles, its existence has not penetrated the public mind or the corridors of power. The Russians still won’t discuss it, and Americans at the highest levels—including former top officials at the State Department and White House—say they’ve never heard of it. When I recently told former CIA director James Woolsey that the USSR had built a doomsday device, his eyes grew cold. “I hope to God the Soviets were more sensible than that.” They weren’t.

That secrecy should be alarming, because we don’t have a very good idea about what could trip up this aging system. The very existence of the human race is in the hands of a 31-year-old computer and a few Russian officers, and that leaves a lot of scary questions unanswered.

Is this aging computer system still reliable? How about the sensors that its connected to? Can the select few people who man it be trusted to make the right decisions? Under the right conditions, could the Dead Hand initiate an accidental nuclear strike?

If say a dirty bomb temporarily severed communications with the Dead Hand, would it know what really happened? Or would it just sense the radiation and assume the worst? What about an asteroid, or a solar flare? We don’t know if all the sensors need to be giving readings that are consistent with a nuclear attack, or if they only need to identify a handful of conditions. We don’t know if the officers who check on the system are going to simply follow the computer’s instructions, or if they will rely on their own judgement.

There’s a lot of scary stuff that we don’t know about the Dead Hand. It just goes to show even though humans are far too scared and reasonable to launch a nuclear attack against another nuclear armed nation, the possibility of such a conflict happening accidentally is always present.

Russia Syria attack

By  – SurvivoPedia

It has been less than two weeks since Russia announced their entry into Syria to support President Assad. Yet, in the short time they’ve been there, they’ve accomplished more than U.S. forces have accomplished over the last several months.

Reports are coming out that ISIS is ready to topple; all that’s needed is a push from ground forces.

This is somewhat reminiscent of both Gulf Wars, where U.S. led forces all but destroyed the fighting capability of Iraq from the air. Then, when the ground forces rolled in, they were doing more of a clean-up operation, rather than fighting a full-scale war.

By Jeremiah Johnson –

When we read the papers or turn on the television (for those of us who have television), hardly a day or two passes by without the mention of new (or ongoing) actions by the Chinese government in a military capacity.  Within the past year alone, China has extended her reach steadily beyond her own territorial waters and nearby sea-lanes.  She has participated in numerous exercises, some of them jointly with foreign nations.  Anyone can clearly witness her aggressive, outwardly expanding policies regarding territory and flexing her muscle.

The most recent maneuver comes on the heels of the Russian actions in Syria.  China (if you recall) just sent a carrier through the Suez Canal to support Russia’s actions, “against ISIL/ISIS”…whatever the boogeyman/Emmanuel Goldstein is currently labeled.  In reality, China is forming a partnership in a power play that may hold dire ramifications for Western society.  These ramifications are likely to be economic as well as military.

Joint exercises with Russia began on August 21, 2015, labeled as the “Sea Cooperation: 2015 (II) exercise.  Russia was in charge of the operation that was held in the Sea of Japan just off the coast of Vladivostok, Russia.  The Chinese sent five aircraft, six helicopters, and approximately 500 soldiers to participate in the exercises.  The exercises lasted until August 28 and were the longest cooperative military exercises between China and Russia to date.  The basic objective was to foster coordination and partnership in landing operations and seagoing/naval defenses.

In this exercise, five Chinese fighter planes were permitted to cross the Russian border for the first time.  Truly this represents a tremendous change between two countries that were in an undeclared state of war for more than half a century.  The frightening thing is this silent objective lodged within the exercises:

“…the Chinese-Russian exercises [are] mostly pointed toward organization and tactics of military maneuvers in landing operations…”

The People’s Daily

Landing operations.  If the Chinese are not preparing for an invasion of the West Coast of the United States as (or during the) kickoff to WWIII-hostilities, then every military analyst and observer must be wrong.  Superficially it can be to prepare China for the Senkaku Island campaign, which is definitely in the works versus Japan.  The scale and complexity of the maneuvers, however, lends to reason that a much bigger target must be in China’s sights.  We are already aware of Russia’s aggressive stance and unwillingness to back down even with the potential of a conflict with NATO and other allied Western Powers.

These exercises are much more than merely “force projection,” a term basically to connotate that one side is brandishing its claws and baring its fangs to the other side in a show of capabilities.  These exercises are to develop key command and control networks with Chinese allies for both potential small-scale (Senkaku, Syria, for example) joint operations, as well as long-term plans to eventually invade and conquer a larger nation, such as the United States.

The operations between China and Russia were the first of their kind with a concentrated focus on both the Sea of Japan and the Mediterranean, focusing on readiness to protect naval straits in close proximity to and far away from the borders of the two countries.  The Chinese just “plopped down” a carrier outside of Syria in which its fighter aircraft will be supporting Russia in the “great war against ISIL/ISIS” that apparently has commenced.

The Chinese have been developing land-to-ship and ship-to-ship cruise missiles that can effectively outrun all of the U.S. naval defense systems’ capabilities.  The missile is a “carrier-destroyer” that can render an entire naval fleet or carrier group inoperable with a small nuclear warhead (1/4 megaton or even smaller).  The Chinese have been upgrading their submarine fleet’s capabilities in terms of stealth technology, weapons technology, weapons capacity, and range.

The Chinese (for years, now) have been escalating their cyber attacks, their data theft of military and defense information (most of it classified), and their “probes” of various facets of critical U.S. infrastructure.  To see how this came about, an excellent read is “The Year of the Rat,” characterizing the years of the Clinton administration and how its namesake and cronies enabled the selling of classified defense secrets to Chinese operatives.

The PRC has been modernizing and expanding all of their military capabilities and their presence in all parts of the world.  They have also partnered with Russia in providing both technological and military assistance to Iran, as well as strengthening that country’s position in dumping the Petrodollar as the unit of exchange.  It is just a matter of time before Iran permits both Russia and China to keep large troop presences and bases inside of her borders, a deterrent to U.S. attack as well as a first-response capability when that eventuality does indeed occur.

Another key thing to watch is the slumping Chinese economy coupled with the enormous debt owed to China by the U.S.  Does anyone really believe that when and if the Chinese economy is on the brink of collapse/collapses that they’re going to extend to the U.S. one of those hokey “debt forgiveness” ads to write off the money owed by America?  Look at what has been happening in the northwestern states, such as Idaho and Montana.  The governors and the progressive (that’s communist) state legislatures have been turning over huge amounts of land and natural resources to the Chinese.

The federal and state governments of the U.S. have been using taxpayer funds to allocate the natural resources and land belonging to U.S. citizens as a payment to the Chinese.

The Chinese are ever growing, ever expanding, and constantly striving to overtake the U.S. in all areas.  As we watch daily, we can see their slow but steady forward progress in successful undertakings toward their goals.  At this rate, it will not be long until those goals are realized.  The only question is when will they take military action against us?  Will it be with economic collapse or will it be swift and sudden in the form of ICBM’s?  One thing is for certain: when WWIII kicks off, the Chinese will play a major role, and not on the side of the United States.

These days you have to be skeptical of every piece of information that you come across, especially if it comes from a mainstream Western news source. Of course, foreign news outlets aren’t immune from fudging the truth either. At the end of the day, everyone has an agenda, and you have to trust your gut until multiple sources come to the same conclusion. And when it comes to the war in Syria, nobody is completely innocent, so we have to take everything with a grain of salt until all the facts are in.

With that said, we’re not going to get anywhere near the truth with the Western media until the truth becomes undeniable. If we want to get an idea of what’s happening on the ground in Syria right now, and how effective the Russian airstrikes have really been, we have turn to foreign news sources.

So far the earliest reports are coming out of the Iranian news website known as Farsnews. If their reports are anywhere near the truth, then the Syrian insurgency is on the ropes.

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army’s special forces attacked ISIL’s positions in Deir Ezzur overnight, and regained control of several terrorists’ checkpoints in an area of 130 kilometers.

The Syrian elite forces seized four concentration centers of the ISIL in a surprise attack near Deir Ezzur airport.

The ISIL terrorists have tried to take control of areas in Deir Ezzur province over the past month, but they have failed due to the resistance of the Syrian army and popular forces.

On Monday, the Syrian air force hit ISIL positions and movements in the Eastern countryside of Deir Ezzur.

Of course, it’s not all rosy news for the Syrian Army. In some cases, their victories have come at a heavy cost.

TEHRAN (FNA)- Military sources in Quneitra informed on Tuesday that the Syrian army and the Lebanese Hezbollah have taken a heavy toll from the terrorist groups and recaptured Tal-Ahmar hill in a major joint offensive in the Southwestern province.

The sources said that the Syrian soldiers stormed the positions of the militant groups in the nearby areas of Tal-Ahmar and retook full control over this strategic hilltop.

The sources further added that scores of the militant groups’ members were killed or wounded in the Tal-Ahmar liberation operation. Tal-Ahmar went under militants’ control only two days ago.

Now compare those stories with what Reuters is saying.

The Iranian-backed Hezbollah militia took part in the fighting, according to a regional source who is familiar with the military situation in Syria.

Abdulrahman said later there was no sign that Syrian troops and their allies had made any tangible advances on the ground.

They briefly entered one town, but were forced to pull back, he said, and around 15 of their tanks or armored vehicles had been either destroyed or disabled.

See what I mean? We have two totally different perspectives clashing here, but only one of them can be correct. Or at the very least, the truth must be somewhere in between.

In addition to these stories, emerging reports have suggested that the resistance movements in Syria are crumbling. So far over a thousand militants have surrendered to the authorities according to Syrian sources. And according to the Russians, an additional three thousand militants have fled to Jordan. They’re afraid that the Syrian Army has regained its momentum, and they’re trying to get the hell out of dodge.

We won’t really know what’s happening in Syria until a few weeks have passed, but if any of these recent reports are true, then it’s safe to say that those Russian airstrikes really worked. Since it took the United States Military over a year to make exactly zero progress in Syria, we know that Washington is about to get a lot of egg on its face.

If the tide turns against ISIS after only a handful of Russian airstrikes, then there will be no doubt among the nations of the world, that the United States Government is the greatest terrorist enabler of our times.
