American Gun Owners Are Now 'Jihadists' and 'Terrorists' -- So Says This Influential U.S. Paper

By Daniel Jennings Off The Grid News

The New York Daily News used its front page to call the executive vice president and CEO of the National Rifle Association (NRA), Wayne La Pierre, a terrorist.

The tabloid even accused the Second Amendment rights organization of running a “sick jihad.”

The Daily News has made attacks on the NRA twice in recent days.

The front page of the November 23 edition featured artwork with La Pierre’s head superimposed on the body of a terrorist. The terrorist was carrying a semiautomatic rifle and wearing an NRA patch on his uniform. It featured the despicable headline, “Nowhere to Hide, Jihadi Wayne.”

It was a reference to Jihadi John – the nickname Britain’s tabloid press put on notorious ISIS executioner Mohammed Emwazi. Emwazi was reportedly killed by a drone operated by British SAS commandos last month. Emwazi was infamous for executing people with swords on ISIS propaganda videos.

A recent Gallup poll reveals that the majority (of Americans) say more people carrying concealed guns would make America safer. The October 7-11 (2015) poll results indicate that 56% believe that if more Americans were allowed to carry concealed guns after having passed a criminal background check and training course, the United States would be safer.

The most favorable gender group, men (62%), while men aged 18-29, even more (66%).

The percentages for political party affiliation…

If the only gun violence statistics you see are disseminated by the mainstream media or left-wing anti-Second Amendment groups, then in all likelihood you are horrified by America’s murder culture.

But what if what we’re being sold as truth is merely a means to achieve an agenda focused on seeing the American people totally disarmed?

In the following must-see video report from Truth Revolt, host Bill Whittle shows  the reality of America’s per capita murder rates.

Though we understand that a cranial rectal inversion may be their immediate response for fear of admitting the truth, we strongly encourage you to share this with those who may not have the full picture:

“Maybe It’s Not the Guns… Maybe It’s the People Holding the Guns”

In a recent article Dr. Ignatius Piazza from the Front Sight Firearms Training Institute examines the reasons behind the push against personal firearm ownership in America and why anti-gun proponents like President Barack Obama refuse to address other deadly issues that cause far more deaths than guns:

Guns are not responsible for the 10 deaths at Umpqua College yesterday any more than cars are responsible for the 395 deaths over Labor Day weekend. That’s right, 395 men, women and children were killed over Labor Day in car accidents.

Why didn’t Obama hold a press conference the day after Labor Day, expressing, his grief and anger over the senseless killing of nearly 400 people on our highways during Labor Day Weekend?

Why didn’t Obama ask the American people to do something by pressuring their elected representatives to change our laws?

Why didn’t Obama take a swipe at the car manufacturers and car dealers for building and selling cars to the American people knowing full well that EVERY YEAR, over 32,000 people are killed in car accidents? Yes, 32,000 EVERY YEAR.

Why didn’t Obama plead with the American people to make a change and pressure Congress to pass laws that forbid the sale and consumption of alcohol, recreational drugs, and pharmaceutical drugs, all of which dramatically contribute to 87 highway deaths PER DAY?

Why didn’t Obama sign an Executive Order forever banning Labor Day. After all it would save nearly 400 people EVERY YEAR.

WHY? Because banning the manufacture and sale of automobiles, or alcohol, or recreational and pharmaceutical drugs, or getting rid of all the national holidays, does not fit in his Socialist agenda to disarm the American public so he doesn’t give a shit about the 32,000 innocent lives that are lost EVERY YEAR on our highways.

It should be obvious that guns are not the problem. As Ignatius Piazza and Bill Whittle note, it’s the people holding the guns that are the problem.

Banning firearms or imposing unreasonable restrictions not only goes against the spirit and letter of Constitutional Law, but increases the odds that innocent Americans will become targets of violent criminals like we have seen in “gun-free” cities such as Detroit and Chicago.

We realize that if you are a left-leaning gun grabber you could argue that we are merely throwing out Republican and Libertarian talking points, so don’t take our word for it.

Maybe the warnings from this little known author and Statesman will convince you:

“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms…disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed one.”

Thomas Jefferson

We’ll be happy to give up our guns… just as soon as former New York’ Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and President Barack Obama remove their ARMED security details.*

Lead by example, right?

(*Note: This statement was made in jest. We don’t plan on giving up our guns even if the President and aforementioned Mayors were to give up their armed security details.)

According to the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), female engagement in target shooting grew 60% to 5.4 million participants between 2001 and 2013, and is apparently still growing.

The question is, what draws women to guns?

Especially if you are a woman, lets hear from you…

The current anti-gun president and his allies are moving forward with an apparent multi-pronged attack on gun owners as they seek to ban online ammo purchases, ban gun-related online internet communications, and to mandate firearms insurance.

Here’s more information about what your government is doing in this regard:

Online Ammo Purchase Ban

Barack Obama’s anti-gun allies in Congress are moving right now to effectively OUTLAW your freedom to purchase ammunition online.

New York House Representative Carolyn Maloney has introduced a new bill that would force gun owners to have liability insurance or face fines of up to $10,000.

According to Maloney the stipulations in The Firearms Risk Protection Act would curb gun violence, much like car insurance has lowered vehicle fatalities because gun owners would be more careful.

“We require insurance to own a car, but no such requirement exists for guns,” Maloney said in a statement. “The results are clear: car fatalities have declined by 25 percent in the last decade, but gun fatalities continue to rise.”

Maloney said auto insurance carriers incentivize drivers to take precautions to reduce accidents, but no such incentives exist for firearm owners.

“An insurance requirement would allow the free market to encourage cautious behavior and help save lives,” she said. “Adequate liability coverage would also ensure that the victims of gun violence are fairly compensated when crimes or accidents occur.”

Source: The Hill

Of course, the likelihood that insurance policies are responsible for the 25% drop in car fatalities is almost zero. Rather, as noted by the Insurance Institute For Highway Safety and people with even a smidgen of common sense, it’s probably more likely that improved vehicle design and safety features are responsible for the large decrease:

They found that vehicle changes — including improved structural designs, the addition of safety features and an evolving mix of vehicle types — were the main source of declining risk from 1993 through 2006.

But common sense goes out the window with politicians, raising the question of whether a bill should be introduced requiring politicians to get liability insurance before entering their respective legislative houses before they do further damage to Americans’ Constitutionally enumerated natural rights.

Case in point: Rather than liability insurance to lower the rate of fatalities from criminal gun usage, Congress should look to the car industry for solutions. Improving the safety of citizens, for example, could be accomplished by giving them free access to body armor, as opposed to the nationwide ban proposed earlier this year.

But that would just make too much sense. So, akin to stopping global warming with increased taxes and carbon credits, which do nothing but enrich carbon exchange management firms operated by people like climate change spokesperson and internet creator Al Gore, if you are a politician, especially in the liberal state of New York, the only possible solution would be to make people pay more money for the privilege of providing for their own personal defense.

Apparently, the intent of the Founding Fathers for the Second Amendment has been misconstrued for years and should have read:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed, so long as they have a government issued permit, maintain an active trigger lock, do not carry it on their person unless authorized to do so by their State of residence, and can prove they possess an up to date liability insurance policy.

To suggest that gun owners are not already incentivized to be responsible with their firearms is ridiculous on its face, considering there are hundreds of laws on the books designed specifically for people who commit murder or even accidental manslaughter. The legal mechanisms for those acting criminally or negligently with a firearm already exist. If you kill or injure someone with malicious intent or by accident you face prison time and/or financial damages to be seized from your personal wealth to compensate victims.

At every turn and on every level anti-gun politicians are attempting to supplant the U.S. Constitution. They will use any excuse and take every opportunity – including but not limited to restrictions on popular ammunition and all out import bans on guns – in their effort to disarm the American people.

Around 10 pm on Monday night, someone knocked on the door of Kenneth Byrd’s Lumberton, N.C., home.

He answered it to find a man who claimed to have car problems. The man also said he needed water.

Then two other men wearing black clothing, ski masks and gloves forced their way into the home and demanded money.

Byrd, 67, and his wife Judy, 65, were forced, at gunpoint, to the back of their house to open a safe.

Then the three armed men tried to rape Byrd’s 19 year-old granddaughter.

Byrd managed to grab a gun and shot all three of the suspects. The suspects fired back and the grandfather was hit several times, deputies said.

The three thugs suspects managed to flee the scene in Byrd’s gold Cadillac.

Shortly after the home invasion, authorities were notified that two men, 28-year-old Brandon Carver Stephens and 17-year-old Jamar Hawkins, had arrived at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon, South Carolina with gunshot wounds. Both were airlifted to another hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The third suspect, 20-year-old Jamie Lee Faison, was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound inside Byrd’s stolen vehicle on Singletary Church Road in Lumberton.

Authorities said they believed the trio of thugs may have been involved in other home invasion robberies in the area.

Byrd was taken to a local hospital and then airlifted to another for his injuries, which were reported as serious. News2 is reporting that he had surgery and is in ICU.

It is horrifying to think of how different the outcome of this home invasion and attempted rape would have been if Byrd wasn’t armed and able to protect his family.
