Goding out alone in the day or night can be a very dangerous prospect – depending on where you go and when. Unfortunately, women are more at risk than men regarding an attack. There are, however some things that you can carry and learn to help prevent these from happening or to help you if you are in one of those situations.

Your Bag

If you carry a handbag make sure that it is closed up with a zip, and if it closes with a flap carry the fastening tucked into your body. This makes it harder for pick-pockets to sneak a hand in. Wear backpacks backward for the same reason, and cross shoulder bags across your body – don’t just leave them dangling off a shoulder.

Handbags are also a great distraction, if you find yourself against a mugger who is asking for your bag – he’s likely going to be more interested in the bag than in you. Throw your bag away from your person and run in the opposite direction.

Carry-ons

You should keep at least one of these three things on your person at all times; pepper spray, a handheld taser, and a rape alarm. Pepper spray is pretty much how you see it in the movies, it hurts like hell, and will give you the opportunity to get away. A taser isn’t a toy; it can seriously hurt someone, and seeing as you need to be close to use it, it should be a last resort, click here to learn more. And a rape alarm works by pulling the cord and throwing both pieces in opposite directions – it lets off a loud wail that will alert people to your predicament and location.

Your keys can be a hindrance or a benefit to you. When walking to your car in the dark, fumbling with your keys gives an attacker or a thief an opportunity. When you leave the building you’re in, have your key ready in your hand, and as soon as you get into your car, lock it again. Click here for some car safety tips.

You have probably heard of using keys in self defense, but the common mistake is to place keys between the fingers. Unless you are very lucky, they’re just going to slip without doing much damage. You want to clench the bunch of keys in your fist before landing a hit – this gives your hit more weight, and can help stop your knuckles dislocating.

Self-Defense

Self-defence is all about getting away for your attacker, not about beating them up. You never know if they have any weapons on their person, but always treat the situation as if they do. Surprising them by applying a self-defense move can give you the chance to run. Always run towards the public, they are less likely to follow you, and you’ll be able to get help easier. And remember that unlike in the movies, it is incredibly hard to shoot someone while they are moving, particularly if the attacker is moving too.

The Survival Place Blog: Precautions And Defense For When You’re Out At Night

The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history.”  ~ George Orwell

By Daisy Luther – The Organic Prepper

A few years back, I was doing some research about the aftermath of some natural disasters that took place here in America. I was shocked to find that the articles I was looking for – ones that I had read in the past – were pretty hard to find, but articles refuting the sought-for pieces were rampant.  Not just one event, but every single crisis aftermath that I looked up, had articles that were written after the fact stating in no uncertain terms that the hunger, chaos, and unrest never happened.

Apparently we, the preparedness community, are all wrong when it comes to the belief that after a disaster, chaos erupts and civic disorder is the rule of the day. That is only a disaster myth, and the public narrative belies it all.

Listen to the “experts” and they will confirm, it never happens.

looters2

Panic?  What panic?

According to newspaper articles written after Superstorm Sandy devastated the East Coast and after Hurricane Katrina caused countless billions in damage in New Orleans, people were calm, benevolent and peaceful.  Heck, they were all standing around singing Kumbayah around a campfire, sharing their canned goods, calming frightened puppies, and helping the elderly.

Apparently, studies prove that the fear of anarchy, lawlessness, and chaos is nothing but the “disaster myth”.  Reams of examples exist of the goodness and warmth of society as a whole after disaster strikes. All the stories you read at the time were just that – stories, according to the mainstream media:

Yet there are a few examples stubbornly fixed in the popular imagination of people reacting to a natural disaster by becoming primal and vicious. Remember the gangs “marauding” through New Orleans, raping and even cannibalizing people in the Super-Dome after Hurricane Katrina? It turns out they didn’t exist. Years of journalistic investigations showed them to be racist fantasies. They didn’t happen. Yes, there was some “looting” — which consisted of starving people breaking into closed and abandoned shops for food. Of course human beings can behave atrociously – but the aftermath of a disaster seems to be the time when it is least likely. (source)

Looting?  Only hungry people getting food from unmanned stores. Who wouldn’t do that?

Beatings and assaults?  Didn’t happen. Disturbed people made these stories up for attention.

Gang rapes?  No way. You watch too much Law and Order: SVU.

Murder, mayhem, and gangs of youth on the streets?  Silly readers – we just made that up.

loot

The Disaster Myth is a narrative created by the establishment and delivered by their stoolies in the mainstream media.  The Disaster Myth points fingers at many of the things that are commonly believed to be true by the preparedness community.  Included in this narrative:

  1. People do not panic after a disaster – instead, they pull together.
  2. The official government response is always speedy and appropriate – unless you are a person of color, in which case you will be denied assistance based on your race, because racism is the current agenda
  3. You will be taken care of if you simply comply peacefully with authorities.
  4. There is little increase in post-disaster crime.

These statements all stand in direct opposition to the stories we hear from news sources during the crisis.  We heard terrible stories from eyewitnesses who suffered from hunger, thirst, and unsanitary condition in the Superdome after Katrina.  We heard about citizens being robbed of their 2nd Amendment rights by police after the crisis, and we heard about gang rapes, looting, and mayhem.  Fast forward to Sandy where people were defecating in the hallways of their high rise apartments and digging through garbage to find food just a few days after the storm.  As for the official response, who can forget the FEMA shelter that closed because of inclement weather?  Of course, the weather was inclement – it was a freaking weather-related disaster!

Mac Slavo of SHTFplan wrote of the unrest, discomfort, and mayhem after Superstorm Sandy ransacked the East Coast:

For tens of thousands of east coast residents that worst case scenario is now playing out in real-time. No longer are images of starving people waiting for government handouts restricted to just the third-world.

In the midst of crisis, once civilized societies will very rapidly descend into chaos when essential infrastructure systems collapse.

Though the National Guard was deployed before the storm even hit, there is simply no way for the government to coordinate a response requiring millions of servings of food, water and medical supplies

Many east coast residents who failed to evacuate or prepare reserve supplies ahead of the storm are being forced to fend for themselves.

Frustration and anger have taken hold, as residents have no means of acquiring food or gas and thousands of trucks across the region remain stuck in limbo.

Limited electricity has made it possible for some to share their experiences:

Via Twitter:

  • I was in chaos tonite tryin to get groceries…lines for shuttle buses, only to get to the no food left & closing early (link)
  • I’m not sure what has shocked me more, all the communities around me destroyed, or the 5 hour lines for gas and food. (link)

At the time of the event, even the mainstream reported on the affluent East Side residents dumpster diving in search of food. Was this NBC report, complete with video, a work of salacious fiction?

As far as civil unrest is concerned, the Twittersphere was jammed with people planning looting sprees in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy.  Those who were already of criminal leanings saw the disaster as a great opportunity. In the great North American Edit, however, these tweets are said to be part of the myth – apparently, they were just kids playing around Some reports pooh-poohed the very idea that looters had run amok.

looters_tweet

This article from Prison Planet refutes all of the refuting and says that the civil unrest DID occur and that it generally does, given evidence from past events.

Legends from the past? Every single extreme weather event in recent years in the United States has been followed by looting.

As MSNBC reported at the time, looting during Hurricane Katrina was so prevalent that it “took place in full view of police and National Guard troops.”

Residents described the scenes as being like “downtown Baghdad” as looters filled garbage cans full of stolen goods and floated them down flooded streets.

As Forbes’ Erik Kain points out, “looting and rioting…occur after most natural disasters,” including after Hurricane Irene as well as Hurricane Isaac.

Looters also targeted victims of the Colorado wildfires earlier this year.

Does this sound familiar?

This revision of inconvenient history will sound quite familiar to anyone who has read George Orwell’s masterpiece 1984 (which was not meant to be an instruction manual, by the way.)  In the novel, the main character, Winston Smith, worked for the Ministry of Truth, which was actually a department of propaganda whose job it was to rewrite any faction of history that did not make the government look omniscient.

In George Orwell’s novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, the Ministry of Truth is Oceania’s propaganda ministry. It is responsible for any necessary falsification of historical events. The word truth in the title Ministry of Truth should warn, by definition, that the “minister” will self-serve its own “truth”; the title implies the willful fooling of posterity using “historical” archives to show “in fact” what “really” happened. As well as administering truth, the ministry spreads a new language amongst the populace called Newspeak, in which, for example, truth is understood to mean statements like 2 + 2 = 5 when the situation warrants.

The Ministry of Truth is involved with news media, entertainment, the fine arts and educational books. Its purpose is to rewrite history to change the facts to fit Party doctrine for propaganda effect. For example, if Big Brother makes a prediction that turns out to be wrong, the employees of the Ministry of Truth go back and rewrite the prediction so that any prediction Big Brother previously made is accurate. This is the “how” of the Ministry of Truth’s existence. Within the novel, Orwell elaborates that the deeper reason for its existence is to maintain the illusion that the Party is absolute. It cannot ever seem to change its mind (if, for instance, they perform one of their constant changes regarding enemies during war) or make a mistake (firing an official or making a grossly misjudged supply prediction), for that would imply weakness and to maintain power the Party must seem eternally right and strong. (source)

We are watching narratives being created in front of our very eyes with the Vegas massacre. Every time something terrible happens, there’s a spin and that spin a) keeps us in the dark. b) encourages us to be dependent, and c) benefits someone.

But….WHY????

So why the vast effort to expunge tales of mayhem and to make it seem like our own national disasters really weren’t that bad? There are a few reasons, like pandering to an audience that wants to be blissfully unaware, but primarily, it’s about control.

Those who live a self-sufficient lifestyle are a threat to the status quo that those in power would like to see.  If you don’t NEED them, then there is no leverage to force you into compliance.  You don’t NEED to go to Camp FEMA in order to have 3 squares a day.  You don’t NEED to give up your guns in order to have a roof over your head and government supplied security.  You don’t NEED to get some kind of chip implanted in your arm to be scanned in order to receive “benefits” like medical care, food, and even money.

Self-sufficiency means freedom.  When you can feed yourself, clothe yourself, shelter yourself, and protect yourself, you are far less likely to need to cede your freedoms in order to stay alive. And in a police state that is frantically trying to withdraw our constitutional rights, this just won’t do.  They need leverage.

So the establishment has created a narrative that tells us what we are doing is silly and unnecessary.  They are rewriting history even though we only lived that history in the past decade.  Even though we know the truth of the matter because we watched it live, they are changing the facts to make us doubt our own perceptions. They are catering to the people who have no interest whatsoever in taking care of themselves.

This narrative was created to make a society of anti-preppers – of people who believe that all will be right with the world, the government is kind and benevolent, potential disasters aren’t really that big of a deal, and those crazy preppers are stark raving lunatics.  They want us to be perceived as extremists so that others are less likely to follow our examples. If they need a crazy bad guy at whom to point the finger, all they have to do is call someone a “Doomsday Prepper”. (Remember how poor Nancy Lanza was vilified after the Sandy Hook shooting?)

But…

If this civil unrest is not occurring, why is the National Guard called to keep the peace?  Why are state police riding around on tanks wearing body armor? Why were the guns of law-abiding citizens taken away in the aftermath of Katrina?

SWAT TEAM

Which version of reality are you going to believe?  The one that you actually witnessed or the perverted rewrite that the mainstream media is trying to push upon you?

Remember the things happening right now.

We have recently been hit with disaster after disaster in the United States. The aftermath of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma hit the mainland amidst stories of looters and people standing armedto protect homes and businesses. In the Carribean, lawlessness was rampant, and after Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico, the danger from armed people robbing those who still had some supplies was constant. As I write this, there are uncontrolled wildfires tearing through California wine country, and looters are striking the homes of evacuees.

Of course, we are seeing reports of this now, but later will these stories be “debunked” by “experts” like the stories from Katrina and Sandy?

It’s entirely likely because most people would prefer to live smug in the belief that the police are only seconds away, their neighborhoods are immune to looters and vandals, and that America is a place of exceptional order and civilization. It comforts them to believe these things.  They use it as ammunition so they can scoff at “doomsday” preppers and call them “conspiracy theorists.”

But we know differently, and today, bloggers and alternative media are also documenting these stories before history is erased. I have watched for years as supplemental links in stories I have written have disappeared. I have witnessed the changing narratives, and if you’re reading this, you probably have too.

So, don’t be discouraged in your efforts when you read all the “good news” stories that inevitably show up after a disaster. To be sure, there are some wonderful people out there helping their neighbors, but there is also a dark side that the media prefers to ignore.

You saw it when it was happening. You know the truth, even if the disaster myth narrative would have you believe otherwise.

They say it’s the survival of the fittest, but when it comes to a natural disaster, you are never going to be able to bench press your way out of a tornado! When disaster hits, you have got to use your wits more than anything, but there are the basic elements that you need to survive, keep yourself nourished, and also keep your mind active and engaged. So how do you do this?

What Will Save Your Life

You need to think about what you can carry at the bare minimum, and what will prove useful to you in these grave circumstances. Ultimately, water is a priority, especially if you are constantly on the move, so it’s important to have a suitable thermos or tumbler to carry with you, you can navigate to this website to get a better idea of what you can use to store liquids. But you also need protection from the elements; in this case, you need something like a knife. A machete is a useful piece of kit because a good knife can cut down branches but it also provides adequate protection from the unknown.

How To Locate Yourself

Getting lost is par for the course if you are fighting for survival, so you need to make sure that you are heading in the right direction, so you are going to need a compass, but it’s also important to have an adequate means of communication. Depending on where you are, a cell phone might not be much use, but you may benefit more from a personal locator beacon (PLB), which is a radio signal device that can communicate with satellites from anywhere in the world.

Nourishment

Finding adequate food while you are on the move can be difficult, but it’s important to think how our cavemen ancestors coped while on the hunt. And you may not like the idea of killing and cooking an animal, or you’re a vegetarian, in which case there is plenty of greenery for you to forage on, you just have to look hard for it. And make sure that to you get as much as you possibly can and store away. There are plenty of edible flowers, seeds, and berries to feast on, but you need to be aware of which ones are poisonous and which are not.

Calming Your Mind

This can be very difficult if you are operating on a high sense of panic, but while instinct may be taking over, and the adrenaline pumping, this can leave you mentally and physically drained when you calm down. The best approach is to use calming techniques, such as the ones that Wim Hof has done, Wim Hof is an explorer who teaches calming techniques, but also ventured to the top of Everest in his underpants! While it can be argued that he may not have a sense of mental calmness, his breathing techniques are excellent and help to stimulate the lymphatic nervous system, which will benefit you in stressful situations.

Surviving like this is a mammoth task, but there are some straightforward methods to keeping on the right track as well as keeping calm under the circumstances!

The US is braced for one of the worst hurricane seasons it’s ever had. The Caribbean, and the US, has already been hit with one of the worse hurricanes it has ever seen. Already there has been 15 tropical cyclones over the Atlantic, the major hurricanes Irma, Harvey, and Maria, have already devastated different areas of the US. So what does this mean for those who could be next in the path of destruction? It means it literally does pay to be paranoid. Check out these ideas on how to stay as safe as possible.

Stock Essentials

If a hurricane hits your town hard, chances are everything you know and love will be demolished. As sad as this sounds, it’s true. Shops will be shut, and getting the essentials everyone else is trying to attain is going to be tough. So pack a few boxes full of things you can’t live without. No, we don’t mean your favourite chocolate bar. We mean clothes, tins of food, water, medicine etc. You don’t know how long you you’ll be without supplies for, so stocking up on a larger amount is recommended. It might be worth purchasing a sleeping bag for all the members of the household. It won’t be clear where you’ll be sleeping for a while. If you have pets, don’t forget about them too!! Stock up on plenty of animal food as well.

Protect The House

If you’re choosing to stand your ground, or if your area hasn’t been evacuated, it’s a good idea to put up a few precautions around the house. The main being boarding up the windows. If they shatter, it can cause some really nasty cuts and injuries. All you’ll need is a few thick planks of wood, a table saw, some nails and a hammer. If you don’t have a table saw, you can purchase relatively cheap one’s from companies such as bestofmachinery.com. They’re just easier to use to cut through thicker wood than normal saws. Size up the wood and cut through. Then nail it to all the doors and windows for extra protection. It’s also a good idea to tie anything down in the garden, or take it down altogether. Whether it be a trampoline or a few plant pots. Bring them inside or get them secure.

Generators

One of the many annoying issues a hurricane causes is loss of power. Even if it is a tropical storm rather than a fully formed hurricane, you’re guaranteed to lose power. So look into purchasing a portable generator. They might be expensive, but it can sometimes be days without electricity. A generator will give you that vital power to be able to shower, and have light during the darker nights. Another handy piece of equipment is a gas cooker.

Preparing for a hurricane isn’t as hard as it looks. With a season like we’re forecast to have, it really will pay to be paranoid. If the statistics are correct, this is going to be one of the biggest, harshest seasons on record, so make so you and your home is prepared.

A violent attempt to overthrow our way of life via a communist revolution is on the very near horizon.

By Daisy Luther – The Organic Prepper

There could be more trouble than we ever imagined headed our way on November 4th when a bunch of folks who aren’t happy about Trump and Pence attempt to overthrow the government in a Communist revolution.

Groups like Antifa, Resist Fascism, and the Revolutionary Communist Party have been meeting for months to openly plan sedition and organize what they promise will be massive protests all over the country. Don’t be surprised if things become violent. The website says:

ON NOVEMBER 4, 2017:

We will gather in the streets and public squares of cities and towns across this country, at first many thousands declaring that this whole regime is illegitimate and that we will not stop until our single demand is met: This Nightmare Must End: the Trump/Pence Regime Must Go!

Our protest must grow day after day and night after night—thousands becoming hundreds of thousands, and then millions—determined to act to put a stop to the grave danger that the Trump/Pence Regime poses to the world by demanding that this whole regime be removed from power.

Our actions will reflect the values of respect for all of humanity and the world we want—in stark contrast to the hate and bigotry of the Trump/Pence fascist regime.

Our determination to persist and not back down will compel the whole world to take note. Every force and faction in the power structure would be forced to respond to our demand. The cracks and divisions among the powers already evident today will sharpen and widen. As we draw more and more people forward to stand up, all of this could lead to a situation where this illegitimate regime is removed from power.

Spread the word and organize now. Be a part of making history. Don’t let it be said that you stood aside when there was still a chance to stop a regime that imperils humanity and the Earth itself. Join in taking to the streets and the public squares day after day and night after night demonstrating that In the Name of Humanity, We REFUSE to Accept a Fascist America.

On November 4, 2017, we will stand together with conviction and courage, overcoming fear and uncertainty, to insist that: This Nightmare Must End: The Trump/Pence Regime Must GO! (source)

Back in August, I wrote about conferences held across the nation to begin planning these riotsprotests. Conferences were held in New York, Chicago, Austin, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. This is something that has been in the works for months, and basically, every group that is un-American is in on it.

What do they want to replace the Trump/Pence “regime” with?

I’m glad you asked. Their plan is to replace our current form of government with first, Socialism and ultimately, Communism. Clearly they’ve learned nothing from the brutal collapse of Venezuela.

It says so right in the preamble to their constitution. Oh, wait – I forgot to tell you – they have a draft of a constitution with which they want to replace the governing document of America. It’s called, “The Constitution for the New Socialist Republic in North America.” Here’s a little snippet from the introduction:

It is intended to set forth a basic model, and fundamental principles and guidelines, for the nature and functioning of a vastly different society and government than now exists: the New Socialist Republic in North America, a socialist state which would embody, institutionalize and promote radically different relations and values among people; a socialist state whose final and fundamental aim would be to achieve, together with the revolutionary struggle throughout the world, the emancipation of humanity
as a whole and the opening of a whole new epoch in human history–communism–with the final abolition of all exploitative
and oppressive relations among human beings and the destructive antagonistic conflicts to which these relations give rise.

In order to bring this new socialist state into being, it would be necessary to thoroughly defeat, dismantle and abolish the capitalist-imperialist state of the USA; and this in turn would only become possible with the development of a profound and acute crisis in society and the emergence of a revolutionary people, in the millions and millions, who have the leadership of a revolutionary communist vanguard and are conscious of the need for revolutionary change and determined to fight for it. To work for this objective–to hasten while awaiting the emergence of these necessary conditions, with the goal of revolution and ultimately communism clearly in mind–is the strategic orientation of the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA. (source)

They mince no words when stating that their ideal is a dictatorship.

The New Socialist Republic in North America is, like all states, a form of dictatorship–the dictatorship of the proletariat–which means that, in its essential character and its basic principles, structures, institutions and political processes, it must give expression to and serve the fundamental interests of the proletariat, a class whose exploitation is the engine of the accumulation of capitalist wealth and the functioning of capitalist society and whose emancipation from its exploited condition can only be brought about through the communist revolution, with its goal of abolishing all relations of exploitation and oppression and achieving the emancipation of humanity as a whole. In accordance with this, the 4 Constitution for the New Socialist Republic in North America (Draft Proposal) governing bodies and processes of this socialist state, at all levels, must be vehicles for the furtherance of the communist revolution; and, as a key dimension of this, they must provide the means for those who were exploited and oppressed in the old society–and were effectively locked out of the exercise of political power and the governance of society, as well as the spheres of intellectual endeavor and working with ideas overall– to increasingly take part in these spheres, with the aim of continually transforming society in the direction of communism. (source)

What could be more appealing to our society of victims than this warm invitation to become the ruling class over those who have “oppressed” them? Psychologically speaking, this is an ingenious way to gain the support of all those angry Social Justice Warriors who believe that racial minorities, women, and the LGBTQ community are all downtrodden.

In the economy section, true to the communist roots of the document, it discusses how “the means of production” will “become the common property and resource of the whole of society, and ultimately all of humanity.” So that means if you own a plant or a farm or a factory, it won’t be yours for long should they somehow manage to take power. Capitalism would be over in their commie utopia. In fact…

one of the principal aims is to eliminate the ownership of private capital and the resultant relations of exploitation in the form of wage labor; and while, for a fairly long period of time, it will be necessary for people employed in enterprises and other units of the socialist economy to receive remuneration–and to meet their various personal needs, to a significant degree–through the medium of money, it will be possible, and will be the orientation, to eliminate, in a much shorter period of time, conditions and situations in which individuals are forced to work for other individuals who own private capital. Accordingly, the private ownership of means of production and other capital, and the hiring of wage labor by owners of private capital, shall be prohibited. (source)

Media independent of the government will require a license to operate. I think we all know what that means. Censorship would be utter and complete. Surprisingly, the “constitution” permits all those over the age of 18 to own firearms, but there is a clause stating that all rights can be withdrawn if “the central Executive Council” declares a “security emergency.” If this happens, they “may temporarily suspend rights and provisions set forth in this Article and elsewhere in this Constitution.”

You can read the whole 104-page document here.

Who is running this show?

Bob Avakian is the big kahuna in the Revolutionary Communist Party and he has been since the 70s. Avakian idolizes the likes of Mao Tse Tung and the Black Panthers. He is the main author of the Commie Constitution cited above and also the editor of the periodical, Revolution, formerly Revolutionary Worker. He is the author of The New Communism: The science, the strategy, the leadership for an actual revolution, and a radically new society on the road to real emancipation, which you can check out at the link if you really want to know where he’s coming from.

He isn’t some skinny millennial living in his mama’s basement. According to Wikipedia, Avakian is in his 70s and has been pressing his agenda since the 1960s when he teamed up with the Black Panthers and the Students for a Democratic Society at Berkeley.

Avakian is teaming up with other groups, though, like Resist Fascism. Resist Fascism has some fascinating contributors, including the sh*t-disturbing George Soros. I wrote previously:

Refuse Fascism is a project of the Alliance for Global Justice. This is noted on their website where they ask for donations. (Obviously, I’m not recommending you donate. I’m just quoting this to show you where their bread gets buttered.)

To support our educational activities and make a tax-deductible donation by mail, make your check out to Alliance for Global Justice” (our fiscal sponsor; you can use the abbreviation AFGJ), designate Refuse Fascism in the memo and mail to the address above. RefuseFascism.org is a fiscally sponsored project of the Alliance for Global Justice, a registered 501(c)3. (source)

According to The Daily Caller:

…the benefactors of the Alliance for Global Justice — and Refuse Fascism — are listed online.

According to its most recent 990 tax form, Alliance for Global Justice (AfGJ) received $2.2 million in funding for the fiscal year ending in March 2016.

One of the group’s biggest donors is the Tides Foundation, a non-profit funded by billionaire progressive philanthropist George Soros. Tides gave AfGJ $50,000.

The United Steel Workers labor union also contributed $5,000. The city of Tucson is also listed in AfGJ’s 990 as a donor, but a city official says that the city acted merely as a pass-through for a Native American tribe that provided a grant to the activist group. The city official said that no city money went to AfGJ. (source)

Raise your hand if you’re surprised to see George Soros linked to this. Hello?  Anyone?

For further reference, here’s a link to a PDF of their tax form with a list of all their donors.  Interesting reading. (source)

In fact, the Washington Beacon got ahold of Soros’s unredacted tax returns and learned he sent more than $1.7M to an Antifa-linked foundation known as The Center for Community Change Action. Other unsurprising donors were:

  1. George Soros (The Open Society Foundation): $1,750,000
  2. W.K. Kellogg Foundation: $3,000,000
  3. California Endowment: $524,000
  4. Ford Foundation: $2,350,000
  5. Hillary Clinton (Onward Together): $800,000

Take note, because these are the people and corporations that want to destroy our country.

How do they plan to bring this about?

The Revolutionary Communist Party is working with other groups to bring down the “Trump Pence regime.” In their “Strategy for Revolution, they state:

In order for revolution to be real there must be: a revolutionary crisis, and a revolutionary people, numbering in the millions and led by a far-seeing, highly organized and disciplined revolutionary party.

So they plan to use any type of crisis to stir the pot and gather more support. This includes shocking events, economic issues, and “breakdowns in the normal functioning of society.” Racial tension and strife fall right in line with their goals and add more bodies to their ranks.

As well, you can be sure that the Marxist agenda we see in our education system, most particularly our colleges and universities, is a funnel to deliver young people into the fold. The more our young people feel disenfranchised, angry, and out of place with society, the more they will hate it and wish to overturn it. Just one such example of this is Stefan Bradley, a professor at Loyola Marymount University who argued on behalf of violent protests just last week, writing:

An undercurrent in these concerns over activism is the threat of escalation — of peaceful demonstrations veering into violence and property destruction. To be sure, disruption should not be mistaken for violence, and inflicting physical harm (not counting self-defense) on opponents and property often derails a just cause. At times, though, it is the violent or destructive demonstrations that draw the attention of the wider public and motivates decision makers to act. The response of the institution to nonviolent disruption often determines the reaction of agitators. Some will quibble about what constitutes self-defense or even violence, but America’s past has proved that the powers of persuasion do not often yield just results. (source)

They are targeting the “oppressed” and the “victims” to empower their cause. They’re promoting anger and divisiveness.

More needs to be learned, and will be learned, about how the revolutionary struggle can win when these conditions have been brought into being, but the basic strategic conception and approach has been developed for actually defeating and dismantling the oppressive forces and institutions of this system—and bringing into being new institutions of a new, revolutionary system—when there is a revolutionary crisis and a revolutionary people

But the possibility of revolution will never really ripen unless those who recognize the need for revolution are preparing the ground for this politically and ideologically even nowworking to influence the thinking of people in a revolutionary direction, organizing them into the struggle against this system, and winning growing numbers to become actively involved in building the movement for revolution….

All along the way, both in more “normal times” and especially in times of sharp breaks with the “normal routine,” it is necessary to be working consistently to accumulate forces—to prepare minds and organize people in growing numbers—for revolution, among all those who can be rallied to the revolutionary cause. Among the millions and millions who catch hell in the hardest ways every day under this system. But also among many others who may not, on a daily basis, feel the hardest edge of this system’s oppression but are demeaned and degraded, are alienated and often outraged, by what this system does, the relations among people it promotes and enforces, the brutality this embodies.

What is the way to carry out this work? Fight the Power, and Transform the People, for Revolution. This is a big part of the answer. People need to fight back, and people do fight back, against the many ways human beings, and the environment, are exploited, degraded, ravaged and even destroyed by this system. But to make that fight more powerful—and, more, to carry it through to put an end to all this—people need to learn that the fundamental problem is this capitalist system, and the solution is getting rid of this system and bringing into being a new system, socialism, aiming for the final goal of a communist world. Fight the Power, and Transform the People, for Revolution is a key part of our strategic approach, which provides a way for the Party to unite with and give leadership to people to change themselves as they take part in the struggle to change the world…to lift their heads and broaden their vision, to recognize what kind of world is possible, what their real interests are, and who their real friends and real enemies are, as they rise up against this system…to take up a revolutionary viewpoint and revolutionary values and morals as they join with others to resist this system’s crimes and build up the basis for the ultimate all-out revolutionary struggle to sweep this system away and bring in a whole new way of organizing society, a whole new way of being…to become emancipators of humanity.

Rest assured, everything that we look around and see that makes us shake our heads in confusion has been done for a reason. There is an agenda.

This group is the enemy of freedom and the enemy of our way of life. Capitalism is the fuel of the American dream. It is the basis of every success story in our society. Without it, we’re all just cogs in a wheel spinning beyond our control. Capitalism is freedom.

An attempted communist revolution is not as far-fetched as people may think.

When you keep in mind that we very nearly had a self-proclaimed socialist as a top contender in our last presidential election, you will see that while this seems like the far-fetched fantasy of an angry bearded college student who writes beer-and-pizza-fueled manifestos in a basement apartment, it’s actually a very real movement that is gaining traction every day.

Violence is on the upswing and people like members of Antifa and Resist Fascism think nothing of brutally assaulting those who support capitalism, Trump, or the Conservative point of view. Undercover videos of late have shown these people making aggressive plans that include violence and weapons at an upcoming Ben Shapiro speaking engagement:

“The idea is plainclothes and hard tactics,” she explained. “I don’t think they’ll know what hit  them. Because they’re not prepared for what we’re planning.”

Jared also filmed several members of Antifa and pressed them for information on what they were planning ahead of Shapiro’s speech.

They admitted that they were considering using various weapons against those who opposed them, including an “assault weapon,” a “sawed-off shotgun,” and a “regular rifle.” (source)

Here’s the video that the media ignored.

If this group succeeds in getting the numbers out there that they’re talking about, it will effectively shut down commerce in protest locations. Military, national guard, and police will step in. Counter-protests should be expected, and it will only be a matter of time until true violence like we haven’t seen in centuries, erupts in our city streets. Martial law in this situation will be a given.

One thing these Communists aren’t considering is the well-trained, gun-toting Americans that they wish to victimize will fight back and they will do so effectively. Not only will the police and military object to this attempt to overturn our constitution and government, but everyday patriotic citizens will also strongly resist.

It would be wise to be prepared to be prepared with foodwater, and a personal defense plan. A violent attempt to overthrow our way of life via a communist revolution is on the very near horizon. Watch out for Nov. 4, because that could be the day that the next Civil War begins.

Nobody knows when a natural disaster might occur that affects their families. However, it’s possible to research the likelihood of those instances by taking a look at local history. Some towns sit on fault lines, and so there is a decent chance that earthquakes will occur at some point. Similarly, some cities lie in the path of tornadoes that come from the Caribbean, and so it’s vital that everyone learns as much as possible about the potential issues they face. Once you’ve done that, be sure to consider the three simple preparations listed below. In survival situations, these concepts could save your life!

Read survival books and articles

There are lots of specialist prepper blogs and sites like Prepared Bee that publish thousands of disaster articles you need to read. Those with the best understanding of the procedures they need to follow are going to survive longer than most. At the very least, you should learn how to start fires and some basic hunting skills. It’s also sensible to find out as much information as possible about natural fuel sources and growing vegetables. Some of the most famous preppers release books, and it’s well worth investing in those titles. You can never read too much when it comes to preparing for emergency situations.

Keep enough food in your home to last for a month

Everyone should make sure there is enough food in the house to keep their family alive for at least a month according to sites like Real Simple. Of course, it’s essential that you use some common sense when you head out to the store. Don’t purchase anything fresh because it won’t last for more than a few days. Instead, opt for canned goods that only require heat as part of their preparation. Other foods people might want to store at home include:

  • Rice
  • Dried meats
  • Potatoes
  • Beans
  • Tinned vegetables

If you get stuck for ideas, it’s possible to find prepper’s shopping list suggestions online. Just search Google until you find something suitable.

Invest in a product that purifies water

It’s impossible to tell when an earthquake or similar disaster will affect the electricity and water supply in your area. Human beings will survive for less than a week in most instances if they can’t find suitable fluids to drink. With that in mind, be sure to find a water purification device that does not require the use of electricity. That way, you can take your family down to the nearest stream or river if worst comes to worst. It’s also sensible to invest in some old oil drums for your garden because they make the perfect rain catchers. While salt water is not ideal, a decent purifier will ensure the liquid is fit for consumption. When all’s said and done, it’s better than dying of thirst.

Those three ideas should assist all readers in making sure they survive if a natural disaster occurs in their area. Just as an extra tip, make sure you also keep some emergency radios at home because you might want to call for help at some point. Ensure the batteries are always charged because the power might go down. Whatever happens in the future, people who paid attention to this advice will find themselves in a much better position. So, remember to share this post with all your friends. Well, the ones you like anyway.

Surviving a sniper attack is very different than surviving other types of mass shootings and terror events. While luck plays a factor, these tips can help.

By Daisy Luther – The Organic Prepper

Of a tragic necessity, we’ve all read articles and watched videos about surviving an active shooter terror situation. But an entirely different set of rules apply when it comes to surviving a sniper attack.

The thing with an event like the one in Las Vegas is that a great deal of your survival depends on nothing but luck. If you happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, skills won’t necessarily save you.

The Las Vegas shooting was different than many previous mass shootings because the culprit was not right down there in the thick of things, as in the Pulse nightclub shooting. He was a sniper, 400 yards away from his target of 22,000 people attending a concert.

This situation was different from other mass shootings due to the distance. The standard advice of run, hide, or fight was completely useless. People had no idea where the shots were coming from, which meant they didn’t know where to run. Hiding is not easy in a wide open space that is similar to a giant parking lot without the cars. And finally, you can’t fight an enemy that far away – even if you were a concealed carry holder, your carry firearm won’t shoot far enough, and identifying the threat from that distance while everyone is panicking would be all but impossible.

As well, because of this distance, none of the evasion techniques like running in a zig-zag pattern or getting down were likely to make a huge difference to a person so far away whose apparent goal was only to hurt or kill as many people as possible. He was not aiming at specific people from that distance. He was firing at a general area. Here is a photo of the shooter’s view, from the window of his room to the concert area.

As you can see, the target was a general area, not specific individuals.

Firsthand Stories

This is a report from the Washington Post that quotes people who were there. You’ll see how this information is applicable when you read the tips below.

The typical advice for reacting to an active shooter — ‘run, hide or fight’ — was rendered moot, as many in the packed crowd could not easily run or hide, nor were they able to fight back at someone firing from so far away.”

  • In video footage, concertgoers can be seen screaming and running for cover — though they did not immediately know from what. “We thought it was fireworks at first or trouble with the speakers,” said Kayla Ritchie, 21. “[Then] everything went dark.”
  • It wasn’t until [singer Jason] Aldean fled the stage and the lights came on that 21-year-old Taylor Benge said he realized that “about five feet to the left of me, there was a man with a bullet wound to his chin.” “He was just lifeless on the ground,” Benge said.

— “Outside, The Strip, always a blizzard of dazzling lights and honking horns, almost instantly turned into a frenzied hive of pulsing police lights and sirens,” Michael Lyle, Heather Long and Marc Fisher report. “People fled every which way, many taking cellphone video of their run to safety. [Former minor league baseball player Todd Blyleven, who traveled from Dallas for the concert with his wife and friends], helped carry out the lifeless body of a young woman. He saw a police officer who looked like he had taken a bullet in the neck. ‘Young girls and guys, older folks, just people walking out of a country concert with bullet holes,’ Blyleven said.”

— “Aldean was barely five measures into ‘When She Says Baby,’ when the shots started,” Avi Selk and Amy B Wang report. “’Is that gunfire?’ [Singer Jason] Owen remembered thinking[.] The gunfire continued, steady against the beat of the song … Shot after shot, faster and faster. Aldean sprinted off the stage. Owen ran, too. So did other singers, workers and all the thousands of spectators — fleeing and screaming, falling and dying.”

— A fire alarm triggered by gun smoke let first responders zero in on the shooter’s location. SWAT team members then used explosives to get inside, where they found [Paddock] dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. “We believe the individual killed himself prior to our entry,” the sheriff said. (Cleve R. Wootson Jr.)

— “I realized people were dying”: Photographer David Becker spoke to The Post’s photo editor MaryAnne Golon about witnessing the attack and capturing some of the most haunting images from the night: “ It had been so dark outside I couldn’t see the details. I just saw a lot of people laying on the ground thinking they were playing possum, but now I could see people covered in blood and I thought, this is real. When I saw the image of the woman lying on the ground covered in blood, that was when the impact of what I was experiencing hit — when I realized people were dying.”

How do you survive a sniper attack?

A sniper attack is very different from any other kind of mass shooting, so the rules for surviving those attacks don’t apply here. This is what I learned when researching a horror scenario like the Las Vegas massacre.

Know what gunfire sounds like.

A lot of people who were interviewed said that when they first heard the shots, they didn’t realize what it was. They thought it was fireworks. There were precious seconds when people were frozen targets while they tried to wrap their brains around what was actually happening. During an event like this, a pause of a few seconds could mean the difference between life and death. The faster you take action the more likely you are to survive.

Always have a plan.

We can’t foresee all eventualities, like this one, for example, but it helps to always have a survival mindset. It has long been a game with my kids (yeah, we’re a strange family) to identify exits and potential weapons if we sit down to eat at a restaurant or go to the movies. Knowing where to go without having to look for it in the heat of the moment will save time that could be spent acting.  After this incident, I’m adding to that the search for places we could take cover in an emergency.

Understand the difference between cover vs. concealment.

Every NRA course I’ve ever taken discusses the difference between cover and concealment, because in many cases when you are forced to use your own firearm, there’s another person who is ready and willing to shoot back. Concealment is enough to hide you but not enough to protect you from bullets. Cover is something sturdy enough to stop a bullet – a concrete structure like a road divider, the engine block of a car, a refrigerator, a steel door, a brick wall.

When watching the video playback of the Las Vegas shooting, many people were seeking concealment behind flimsy barriers, and that is not enough to protect yourself in a situation with a high-powered gun and a shooter spraying an area.

Separate from the crowd.

In a situation like this one, the shooter was trying to take down as many people as possible, so it was most likely he was aiming at the crowd instead of picking off people who moved away from the bulk of the group. One possible strategy would be, then, to get away from the crowd. You and the person/people you are with would be less alluring than a group of a hundred panicked people all huddled together where maximum harm could be achieved.

Don’t get down or play dead.

Lots of people crouched down and got as low as they could. In many situations, this would be the best bet, but not this one. The person was shooting from up high, aiming downward. Being still and crouching down wouldn’t do much to protect you from a person firing from this angle, nor would playing dead. Action is nearly always a better choice than inaction. As well, getting down would make it more likely that you’d be trampled by a panicked crowd of people trying to get away. Clark County Fire Chief Greg Cassell said that some of a “wide range” of injuries included people who were trampled by the panicked crowds.

Listen for reload.

In a situation like this, there will be pauses in the shooting when the person stops to either reload or change firearms. That is your opportunity to make a dash for the exits. Don’t wait too long to make your move, because it only takes an experienced gunman a few seconds to reload a familiar gun and then your chance is gone.

Do you have other suggestions?

I’m not an expert. I don’t have law enforcement experience or military experience. So, I spoke to someone far more experienced in this type of thing than I am. Scott Kelley is a former Counterintelligence Special Agent, US Army Chief Warrant Officer, and combat veteran, as well as the author of Graywolf Survival,  and was kind enough to answer all my questions while I was researching this article. I incorporated many of his suggestions, but any mistakes are purely my own.

What about you? Do you have experience to add that might help people survive a sniper attack? Please comment with your suggestions and if you don’t mind, let us know a little bit about yourself.
