One comment on “Never Drop Your Guard: 7 Tips To Improve Your Situational Awareness

  1. Situational awareness pays off.
Two years ago I was standing in line in front of the cashier to pay the gas I just pumped. Two arabic guys were waiting in line in front of me. They acted weird, glancing over to me and it seemed to me they were up to something bad. After I paid for the gas I turned around and realized that they were loitering around inside the station. I got the impression they were waiting for me to pass them by and then they’d follow me outside. Out of the corner of my eyes I could verify that they wre doing just that.
I was glad I had my flip-blade pocket knive on me which I just flipped quite visibly open when I stepped outside and walked to my car, never looking back.
The guys knew that they’d be in for a fight if they’d try to rob me. Luckily I wasn’t worth the risk.
