  1. The story implies that the baby belongs to the family, it does not. The state has custody of the baby and this woman is merely taking care of it. Certainly in this case the state has the right and responsibility to see that the baby is protected. Requiring that the caregiver and family members get a flu shot makes sense. The caregivers objections rate right up their with wirch doctors and snake oil salesmen. Should we really allow the lowest common denominator to set the standard of health care?
