I love articles from people who’ve been in the trenches and really know what they’re talking about from experience. The author here worked with a natural gas company and helped them in getting their lines serviced when emergencies would crop up. Thankfully he’s offering all of those decades of experience to you in this post, so check it out! One thing to note for any prepper is the emphasis on getting away from major concentrations of natural gas, as almost any action (even a ringing phone!) could cause a deadly spark to ignite and explode. We tend to treat gas leaks as minor things right up until they aren’t so the advice in this post is well worth looking into.

Not only does the article discuss how your gear can be protected, but it also highlights different types of EMP and what causes them, and how Faraday cages/bags work. Easily one of the worst parts about being outside is getting rained on and then having to try to sleep or work in wet clothing. It’s uncomfortable, cold, and generally just miserable. Fortunately this article gives some great tips for minimizing the effects of the rain and keeping things enjoyable even in a downpour. Some are obvious reminders (keep those ponchos and other rain gear handy!) while others include handy ways to contain a campfire or keep other gear safe from the rain. There are also some helpful recommendations for rain-resistant types of gear like clothing, sleeping bags etc that are very helpful!
