A blizzard is in progress from Kansas to central Nebraska and Iowa with rapidly deteriorating roadway conditions.
The heaviest snow is falling at a rate of up to an inch per hour in this zone. Strong winds are causing blowing snow, lowering the visibility to less than 1/4 of a mile.
Motorists are urged to use caution along I-25, I-70, I-76 and I-80.
Meanwhile, the high winds and cold air are contributing to subzero AccuWeather RealFeel® temperatures.
The worst of the blizzard will take aim on communities from Omaha to Green Bay and Marquette Wednesday night into late Thursday.
