A quick-moving Alberta Clipper will bring light snow to the mid-Atlantic and southern New England tonight just as a second clipper dives into the Ohio Valley.
This series of clipper systems is just the start of a parade of clippers.
The first clipper system will continue to spread eastward into southern parts of New England and the mid-Atlantic coast tonight, bringing a nuisance snow to cities such as Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Allentown, Hartford, Atlantic City and New York City.
During the overnight hours, most of these cities will pick up a quick inch of dry, fluffy snow, which will lead to slick roadways. Be prepared if you’re heading out this evening or later at night that roads could be snow covered and slippery.
Meanwhile, farther to the west, a second clipper will dive into the Ohio Valley and Great Lakes overnight, bringing more light snow to Detroit, Indianapolis, Chicago and Louisville.
Most of these cities will also pick up a quick inch of accumulation, with a few spots near the Great Lakes receiving a bit more.
